The Upstate area offers many attraction and activities to enjoy during your stay.  Among them include:

 

The South Carolina Arboretum:

As the largest botanical gardens in the state, the arboretum hosts an impressive collections of trees and flowers. The items are arranged by classification, so you can walk around to look at specific plants. A map is available at the park entrance. The trees offer shade; however, on hot days we still recommend hats and water bottles.

 

Clemson University:

The flagship agricultural and engineering school in the state sprawls out for several blocks. the famous Tigers football team provided plenty of excitement. The university also hosts  a history museum and other academic displays. museums for those who wish to stay in a quieter indoor environment. Don’t forget to check out the best homemade ice cream in the Hendrix Student Center too!

Cultural and regional events are always going on. From Blue Ridge mountain drives, to art shows, to Native American dances, the Upstate has something for everyone. The following sites display calendars and information of upcoming events.
